Our new franchise team participated in the Nelson Mandela Bay Hollywoodbets Regional league 25/26. The Saints had a great start to the pre-season in the Nedbank Cup last 16 reaching the final and narrowly losing 1–0 to Major Chiefs FC. Now that is a good introduction from Saints the newcomers in the league, as we acquired the franchise by purchasing Bay Tigers.
Our Chairman Mr G. Kops commented “Reaching the final was a good experience for our young players and created great excitement among the upcoming generation. We’re on a new trajectory, building a well-structured, well-resourced football academy to develop and create opportunities for local talent.” A start of a new era in our club and football Community.
This was the road to the finals:
- Win 3-1: Last 16 – VS Young Aces
- Win 5-0: Quarter-finals – VS Real Celtics
- Win 4-2 on penalties (Full time score 1-1): Semi-finals VS Royal Bucs
- Lose 0-1: FINALS – VS Major Chiefs
