SaintsFC is proud to be participating in this years NAFA Easter Tournament scheduled for Friday 15th April to Monday 22 April. The venues is the Adcock Stadium and Gelvandale Stadium. South Africa is no more under National Disaster status and very excited to keep the ball rolling again for the Easter Tournament, after it was cancelled for the last 2 years due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

SaintsFC registered five age divisions: Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 and a Senior men team.
The following is a breakdown of SaintsFC junior and senior groups (including the other groups/participants):
RULES AND REGULATIONS COMPILED BY J.WILLIAMS – TOURNAMENT M & R
1. PARTICIPANTS AND FORMAT OF ROUND ROBIN PHASE:
16 Senior Teams will participate in the Tournament of which they will be divided into Four(4) groups of Four(4) teams namely Groups A, B, C & D. Teams in each group will play against the teams in their respective groups on an Round Robin Basis meaning each team will play Three(3) matches in group stages.
8 Woman Teams will participate in the Tournament of which they will be divided into Two(2) groups of Four(4) teams namely Groups E & F. Teams in each group will play against the teams in their respective groups on an Round Robin Basis meaning each team will play Three(3) matches in group stages.
16 Under 17Teams will participate in the Tournament of which they will be divided into Four(4) groups of Four(4) teams namely Groups G, H, I & J. Teams in each group will play against the teams in their respective groups on an Round Robin Basis meaning each team will play Three(3) matches in group stages.
16 Under 15 Teams will participate in the Tournament of which they will be divided into Four(4) groups of Four(4) teams namely Groups K, L, M & N. Teams in each group will play against the teams in their respective groups on an Round Robin Basis meaning
16 Under 13 Teams will participate in the Tournament of which they will be divided into Four(4) groups of Four(4) teams namely Groups O, P, Q & R. Teams in each group will play against the teams in their respective groups on an Round Robin Basis meaning each team will play Three(3) matches in group stages.
24 Under 11 Teams will participate in the Tournament of which they will be divided into Four(4) groups of Six(6) teams namely Groups S, T, U & V. Teams in each group will play against the teams in their respective groups on an Round Robin Basis meaning each team will play Five(5) matches in group stages.
24 Under 9 Teams will participate in the Tournament of which they will be divided into Four(4) groups of Six(6) teams namely Groups W, X, Y & Z. Teams in each group will play against the teams in their respective groups on an Round Robin Basis meaning each team will play Five(5) games each in group stages.
2. DURATION OF ROUND ROBIN AND KNOCK-OUT PHASES
SENIOR MEN: 30 MINUTES A SIDE – 5 MINUTES INTERVAL TIME
WOMAN : 25 MINUTES A SIDE – 5 MINUTES INTERVAL TIME
UNDER 17: 20 MINUTES A SIDE – 5 MINUTES INTERVAL TIME
UNDER 15: 15 MINUTES A SIDE – 5 MINUTES INTERVAL TIME
UNDER 13: 15 MINUTES A SIDE – 5 MINUTES INTERVAL TIME
UNDER 11: 10 MINUTES A SIDE – 1 MINUTE INTERVAL TIME
UNDER 9 : 10 MINUTES A SIDE – 1 MINUTE INTERVAL TIME
3. ROUND ROBIN PHASE
The Senior Men, Woman, Under 17, Under 15, and Under 13 will be playing 11 a side during the Tournament.
The Under 9 and Under 11 Division will be playing 7-a-Side during the Tournament.

The Top Two(2) of each group will progress to the Last 8.
WOMAN
The Top Two(2) teams of each group will progress to the Last 4.
UNDER 13 – UNDER 17 DIVISIONS

4. KNOCK-OUT PHASE

Winners of the Semi-Finals will contest in the FINAL for 1st and 2nd place.
Losers of the Semi-Finals will contest in the play-off for 3rd and 4th place.

6. PRIZES FOR JUNIOR DIVISIONS – AS PER SPONSORS.
7. VENUE AND DURATION:
The tournament will be held over the Easter Weekend commencing on Friday, 15 April 2022 and ending Monday 18 April 2022 at the Adcock Stadium and Gelvandale Stadium. Under 9 and Under 11 Fields will be at Gelvandale Stadium.
8. GUEST PLAYERS – NAFA SENIOR MENS CLUBS ONL
8.1 The Guest players can be from NAFA teams NOT participating in the T ournament.
8.2 Two (2) Guest players per participating team will be allowed to play during the Tournament provided the Players Card and a letter of permission from the Guest Player’s Club is accompanied with the respective player.
8.3 Players registered in the SAB League / ABC Motsepe League /NFD/MDC or any other higher leagues are ineligible to participate as a Guest Player.
8.4 Woman and Junior Divisions-NO GUEST PLAYERS ALLOWED
9. POINTS SYSTEM AND ACHIEVING THE WINNERS IN THE GROUP PHASE:
9.1 Points – a win will earn 3 points and a draw 1 point.
9.2 In the event of a team winning by default (walkover), three (3) points and Two (2) goals will be awarded.
9.3 The teams obtaining the most points will determine the group winners.
9.4 If two teams or more end with the same number of points, the group winner will be determined on goal difference.
9.5 If two or more teams end with the same number of points and the same goal difference, the group winner will be determined by the team scoring the greater number of goals.
9.6 If two, or more teams end up with the same number of points, goal difference and goals scored for, as described in clauses 9.3 to 9.5,
then the group winner will be decided by the head to head result.
9.7 If two, or more teams end up with the same number of points, goal difference, goals scored for, as described in clauses 9.3 to 9.5,
and the head to head result ended in a draw, then the winner will be decided by a draw between the respective teams.
10.ACHIEVING THE BEST RUNNERS-UP IN THE ROUND ROBIN PHASE:
10.1 The same criteria will be used as in 9.3 to 9.5 above, If two, or more teams end up with the same number of points, goal difference, goals scored for, as described in clauses 9.3 to 9.5, then the best runner-up will be decided by a draw between the respective teams.
11.ACHIEVING A RESULT IN THE KNOCK OUT PHASES AND FINALS.
11.1 In the event of a game ending in a draw, Kicks from the penalty mark will take place.
11.2 NO EXTRA TIME EXCEPT IN SENIORS FINALS AS PER CLAUSE 12.3.
11.3 Each team will take 5 penalty kicks each according to the referee’s charter, except for the Under 9 & 11 divisions, who will take 3 penalty kicks.
11.4 The team scoring the most goals after the kicks mentioned in clause 11.3, will be declared the winner.
11.5 If there is no result after the kicks from the penalty mark, sudden death will take place. The winner will be the team that scores when their opponents fail to score.
12. FINALS.
12.1 All finals will take place on Monday.
12.2 In the event of the SENIOR FINAL ending in a draw, extra time will be played, consisting of two halves of eight (8) minutes a side.
12.3 All other FINALS will have no extra time.
12.4 If there being no result after extra time in the SENIOR FINAL , a penalty shoot-out will take place as described in clauses 11.3 to 11.5.
13.OTHER RULES AND CONDITIONS
13.1 The SQUAD registration form must include the names and registration

13.2 The tournament squad for U/13-U/15 divisions, consist of 16 players , a . . manager and a coach only.
13.3 The tournament squad for U/9 & U/11 division will consist of 10 players , a manager and a coach only.
13.4 The tournament squad for the Woman, Under 17 and Senior Men will consist of 18 players, a manager and a coach
13.5 Five Substitutions will be allowed per game as per FIFA Laws of the game for Under 13-17, Men and Woman Divisions.
13.6 Rolling substitution will be allowed for the U/9 to U/11 Divisions.
13.7 A player will miss the next match if he receives a red card in any match. This applies to all Divisions.
13.8 All FIFA Laws of the game 2021/22 will be applied, except for the rules mentioned in this document.
13.9 No protest will be entertained.
13.10 All players must be registered on MYSAFA 2021/22 and in possession of the registration card to be eligible to participate in this Tournament.
13.10 Any item not covered in the above clauses, shall be determined by the tournament committee. The committee interpretation of the rules shall be final and binding.
