Saints FC is proud to have hosted a few nations for training sessions at our facilities during the COSAFA Women’s Championship 2024 tournament, hosted in Gqeberha. The teams were very satisfied with our field and conditions, despite the constant rain we experienced at one stage. We were amazed to see how well organised and professional the Zambian team ‘The Copper Queens’ were during their visits and training. They were eventually crowned the Champions and is well deserved.
As an amateur football club located in the Northern Areas of Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha, Gelvandale, we very proud as a football community to be blessed with opportunities like these. It gives us a strong sense of pride and motivates us to keep working harder together, to build a cohesive and strong community. Thanks to Nelson Mandela Bay SAFA and COSAFA organising committee for entrusting us to make our facilities available for training sessions. We grateful and humbled.
