Saints FC first team battled it out against Wolves, as both teams brave it out in cold weather under the flood lights at Saints Football Club field. This Gelvandale derby match is always a highlight for these community members/players. The match started off with a moment of silence for the late George “Beno” Freeman, the groundsman of Saints FC Field.
Wolves won the match 0-1 as they scored the only goal of the match in the first half. Both the teams are equal on points after this match, but Saints with a better goal difference is still above on table, after losing their 1st in 4 matches. This is also the first goal Saints conceded. Well done to Wolves for winning the 1st leg of the NAFA 1st Division League.
